At netCO2, we’re building a net-zero future through innovative agriculture. Last week, our CEO, Rodrigo Soccol, visited our partner lab in Brazil state of Sao Paulo, where we cultivate seedlings for Macaúba trees and companion crops like blueberries, garlic, mandioca, coffee, and cacao — key to our sustainable and diverse plantations.

The lab’s greenhouses buzz with innovation. Rodrigo toured the Macaúba propagation section, inspecting the resilient palm seedlings, each capable of sequestering considerable amounts of CO2 over its lifetime while yielding oil-rich nuts. Alongside, the lab nurtures diverse crops: blueberries and cacao for biodiversity, garlic and mandioca for soil health, and coffee for economic viability.

As the sun set over test plots, the vision is clear: our Macaúba-led plantations, coupled with blueberries, garlic, mandioca, coffee, and cacao, will offset millions of tons of CO2 by 2034 while supporting communities. Stay tuned for updates on this green revolution.
